Rnd 2:  2 sc in each sc around (12 sc)
Rnd 3:  *sc, 2 sc in next sc* Repeat from * around (18 sc)
Rnd 4:  *sc in next 2 sc,, 2 sc in next sc* Repeat from * around (24 sc)

Begin mesh:
Rnd 5:  *Ch 3, sk 1 sc, sc in next* Repeat from * (12 ch 3 spaces made)

Rnd: 23: Chain the length of the desired handle. I usually ch 75  Attach to opposite side with sl st without twisting chain. I usually attach it a couple of stitches to the left from the exact middle position on that side to even out the handle placement. If you skip 20 stitches, this would give you that slightly off to the left position.
Rnd: 24-25: sl st in next 2 sc. Turn. Sc length of ch

Finish off, weave in ends.

Cheers! BYOB Wine/Spirits Tote #2

Cheers! BYOB Wine/Spirits Tote #2

Bringing a bottle of wine as a gift? Make it reusable for going to BYOB restaurants or on a picnic!

Materials needed:
Aunt Lydia’s #5 Fashion Metallic Thread or #3 Fashion Thread -about 100 yards
Size E hook
Yarn needle
Stitch marker

Stitches needed:
Chain (ch)
Single crochet (SC)
Slip stitch (sl st)

Space (sp)

Difficulty:  Easy

Use a  stitch marker at the beginning of each round.
Base:
Rnd 1:  Magic Ring, or Ch 4, sl st to form ring, 6 sc in ring
Rnd 2:  2 sc in each sc around (12 sc)
Rnd 3:  *sc, 2 sc in next sc* Repeat from * around (18 sc)
Rnd 4:  *sc in next 2 sc,, 2 sc in next sc* Repeat from * around (24 sc)
Rnd 5:  *sc in next 3, 2 sc in next sc* Repeat from * around (30 sc)
Rnd 6:  *sc in next 4, 2 sc in next sc* Repeat from * around (36 sc)

Begin mesh:
Rnd 7:  *Ch 3, sk 1 sc, sc in next* Repeat from * (18 ch 3 spaces made)
Rnd 8-30:  *Ch 3, sc in next ch 3 space* Repeat from *

Handles:
Rnd 31:  3 sc in each ch 3 sp (54 sc)
Rnd 32-33:  Sc around
Rnd: 34: Chain the length of the desired handle. I like to keep them fairly short for the wine tote, 20-30 chs.  Attach to opposite side with sl st without twisting chain. I usually attach it a couple of stitches to the left from the exact middle position on that side to even out the handle placement. If you skip 29 stitches, this would give you that slightly off to the left position.
Rnd: 34-37: sl st in next 2 sc. Turn. Sc length of ch

Finishing:
Optional Rnd:  Rev sc around
Finish off, weave in ends.
Optional:  Weave a ribbon through the mesh for interest.

Cheers!
